The Atelier Signature is a private ceramics class designed for those who wish to learn wheel throwing in an exclusive and supportive setting. A fully private session, in the light-filled studio of Slow Potter, in the heart of Paris’ 11th arrondissement.
You are guided by Chentar, a ceramicist trained between Paris and Chiang Mai, whose teaching combines technical precision with genuine attentiveness. The 2.5-hour session is tailored to your level — whether you are discovering clay for the first time or refining your technique.
At the end of the workshop, up to three of your pieces begin their own journey: drying, firing, and glazing. They will be ready for collection at the studio a few weeks later, ready to become part of your daily life.

The Atelier Signature is designed as a fully tailored experience. A preliminary exchange — by email, WhatsApp, or phone — allows us to adapt the session to your expectations, pace, and preferred forms. Each wheel-throwing session lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
How the wheel-throwing session unfolds
- Welcome and introduction to the studio over Southeast Asian tea or coffee
- Getting started at the wheel, including centering the clay
- Free creation of your pieces with personalised guidance
- End-of-session discussion on your preferred finishes
After your pottery class: your pieces fully handled
Your pieces (up to 3) are fully taken care of:
- Slow drying process
- First firing (bisque)
- Glazing according to your preferences
- Final firing
Typical turnaround time: 4 to 8 weeks. Clay takes time — and that is precisely what makes it valuable.
