Pottery course for two in Paris – 3 private sessions | Slow Potter

600.00

Description

A private ceramics journey for two in Paris

This programme is fully privatised for two participants. Each person receives individual guidance at every session, just as in the one-to-one format. A preliminary exchange over Southeast Asian tea or coffee allows us to define together what you would like to explore and create. Sessions are spaced to respect the natural drying time of the clay.

How the three sessions unfold

Session 1 — Wheel throwing

  • Getting started at the pottery wheel
  • Centering the clay and opening
  • Pulling the walls, creating initial forms
  • Setting each person’s pieces aside to dry

Session 2 — Trimming

  • Reworking the pieces after drying
  • Refining shapes and thickness
  • Shaping bases, feet, and details
  • Drying before bisque firing

Session 3 — Glazing

  • Presentation of available glazes
  • Choosing colours and finishes — in harmony or contrast
  • Applying glazes to your respective pieces
  • Final firing and finishing touches

What is included

  • 3 private sessions for two participants (~2.5 hours each)
  • Individual guidance for each participant
  • Clay, tools, firings, and glazing
  • 3 to 5 pieces per person depending on progress

Collecting your pieces

Your pieces are carefully finished and will be available for collection at the studio 4 to 8 weeks after the final session.

Clay follows the rhythm of fire — patient, uncompromising, and generous to those who embrace it.
