Small-group pottery class in Paris – Atelier Confidentiel | Slow Potter

95.00  2 hours 30 minutes

The Atelier Confidentiel is our most accessible ceramics class — without being the least refined. Limited to three participants, it preserves what larger classes often lose: individual attention, the freedom to ask questions, and the pleasure of progressing in a calm, uncluttered space.

In the light-filled setting of Slow Potter, in the heart of Paris’ 11th arrondissement, you will work at the pottery wheel with Armelle, who adapts her guidance to your level and pace. The small-group dynamic — relaxed, curious, and friendly — makes the experience both enriching and effortless.

Your pieces are dried, fired, and glazed in the studio, and will be ready for collection a few weeks later.

An ideal format for a first introduction to pottery in Paris — or to return to clay without the pressure of a traditional class.

Description

Small-group pottery workshop in Paris

Each session welcomes a maximum of three participants for approximately 2.5 hours. This limit is not symbolic — it ensures that Armelle can genuinely guide each person, correct a gesture, suggest variations, and answer questions without others having to wait. Everyone works at their own pace, with equal access to equipment and guidance.

How the wheel-throwing session unfolds

  • Introduction or refinement of wheel-throwing techniques
  • Hands-on work at the pottery wheel — at your own pace
  • Personalised guidance throughout the session

After your pottery class

Your pieces (2 to 3, depending on your pace) are fully taken care of:

  • Slow drying process
  • Bisque firing
  • Glazing and final firing

Typical turnaround time: 4 to 8 weeks. Clay takes time — and that is precisely what makes it valuable.

Beginner pottery classes in Paris
