Pottery course for two in Paris – 3 private sessions | Slow Potter

600.00

Some experiences take on a different dimension when shared by two. The Signature Journey for two invites you to move together through the three key stages of ceramics — not as observers of one another, but as two practitioners engaged with the same material.

Across three private sessions of approximately 2h30 each, you shape, refine and complete your own pieces, with Chentar as an attentive guide for each of you. The Slow Potter studio is entirely reserved for you — a calm setting, individual guidance, and a pace of your choosing.

Between sessions, your pieces dry. You rediscover them each time you return, subtly transformed by time and material.

A pottery class for two in Paris, to be experienced as a couple, with a friend, or offered as an exceptional gift.

Description

A private ceramics journey for two in Paris

This program is fully privatized for two people. Each participant receives individual guidance at every session, just as in a solo format. A preliminary exchange over tea or coffee from Southeast Asia allows you to define together what you would like to explore and create. The sessions are spaced to respect the drying time of the clay.

Structure of the 3 sessions

Session 1 — Wheel throwing

  • Introduction to the pottery wheel
  • Centering the clay and opening
  • Pulling the walls, creating initial forms
  • Setting each participant’s pieces to dry

Session 2 — Trimming

  • Reworking the pieces after drying
  • Refining shapes and thickness
  • Working on bases, feet, and details
  • Return to drying before bisque firing

Session 3 — Glazing

  • Presentation of available glazes
  • Choice of colors and effects — in harmony or contrast
  • Application of glazes on your respective pieces
  • Final firing and finishing

What is included

  • 3 private sessions for two (~2h30 each)
  • Individual guidance for each participant
  • Materials, tools, firings and glazing
  • 3 to 5 pieces per person depending on progress

Collection of your pieces

Your pieces are carefully finished and available at the studio within 4 to 8 weeks after the final session.

The time of clay is that of fire — patient, unyielding, and generous to those who accept it.
